Western Disney - Ariel

I was very inspired by  's Disney University series, and wanted to create a fun Disney series of my own. I am taking Disney characters, placing them in a 1800s Western town, and imagining what roles they would play. The most fun part about this project is the wardrobe. I will try to post one every week. 




Ariel is the youngest of Triton's seven girls. Their's is a poor family. Her father is a humble fisherman, but out here in the west, people seem to prefer beef to seafood so business is not good for their family. Because Ariel is the youngest, she is always the one getting hand-me-down cloths, shoes, books etc. Even her little donkey Flounder is a hand-me-down from her sister Arista. She has never once had a new thing to call her own. Ariel hates being poor and dreams of one day being rich. But she never thought it was possible until the handsome, wealthy, single Eric one day stepped off the train. Now she's willing to do what ever it takes to win him over, even if it means selling her soul to Ursula. Ursula is married to Hades, the saloon owner, and she is in charge of all of the girls who work there. She has agreed to help finance Ariel. If Ariel marries Eric, Ariel will pay Ursula back with heavy interest. If Ariel fails to win Eric over, she will be stuck working in the saloon as a singer for Ursula the rest of her life. The stakes are high. Can Ariel pull it off? She may just fall in love with Eric along the way. 



Sorry about not posting last week. I had a few other art pieces I wanted to finish before submitting another Western Disney pic.
